Review on Revolutionize Scanning with WizCom QuickLink Pen Handheld Scanner by Lucas Hale

Very impressive! for scanner

I'm a student. I have to read a lot and take a lot of notes from the scientific literature. I've only had this scanner for 30 minutes and I'm already in love with it. I found the interface to be very intuitive and easy to use, and the pen connected to my desktop (running Windows 98 2cnd Edition) with no problems. Note. I first disabled Microsoft ActiveSync which I use to sync with my Pocket PC and also told the QuickLink software that came with the scanner NOT to start it automatically when I turn it on. I think the Quicklink Desktop program is very easy to use. I'd like the ability to copy to the clipboard from the Notes page on the desktop, but it's no big deal - you can save notes in ASCII text or in a Microsoft Word document. The "Scan to PC" function is very useful when I sit down at my desk to read; he can copy material directly into Word or into a link management program like Procite. The scan quality is pretty good after a few minutes of practice, around 1-2 errors per line. However, I feel like I can improve my skills with a little practice. Finally, the pen comes in a very practical plastic case, perfect for coexisting with other things in the backpack. Highly recommended!
