Review on CaRoller 29-Piece Cobalt Plastic Set by Justin Early

This is a complete set of fractionated drill bits up to 1/2 which is very important. I can't tell you how many drill bit sets I've bought have turned out to be crappy. Some of them had a gold oxide coating covering some very poor steel that didn't hold the blade, and others cut better by turning them backwards rather than forwards because the cutting angles were too skewed. However, this set is a good buy for a good set of cobalt drill bits. Cobalt is an excellent material as it is stronger than high speed steel but not as brittle as cemented carbide. Cobalt cuts through most harder materials without the need for straightening or regrinding the cutting edges like high-speed steels. All cutting edges appear evenly ground and burr-free, which is to be expected from a good drill bit set like this one. The gold plating adds a layer of smear and blade protection to keep these drill bits sharp for a long time. I will say that I have never bought a set of drills in such packaging, but I like the packaging. The round container holds all the drill bits in a confined space and is easily accessible and the screw-on lid protects them from the elements when they are just lying around waiting to be used.
