I used the lights to decorate a small party and am overall happy with them. The rope is very long and they almost went around two adjacent rooms. I like the different light combinations that are possible with the remote control. We chose to leave the lights on so we can enjoy it all year round. The only problem I have is that the wiring seems pretty flimsy. I turned on the lights and they worked beautifully. I didn't make any changes to them and when I tried them again a few weeks later some of the lights didn't work. I went through this section and realized that somehow the wire had been severed. As I noticed, neither I nor my wife have done anything with the light in the meantime; We don't have kids and the light is under the ceiling in a place our cats can't reach. How this little wire was cut is beyond me. Perhaps they were already slightly damaged when I received them, or perhaps one of them was somehow cut a little when first put up and then time and the weight of the lamps meant that it eventually broke. The speaker wires come in handy, so I stripped the two pieces of light string wire that had come loose, connected the ends with a small piece of speaker wire, and wrapped it in tape. This fixed the problem. Luckily, the electrical tape isn't very noticeable. Aside from that minor blemish, I think it was a good buy.
