Review on Precision Measuring Made Easy with Komelon SS125 Gripper Stainless Steel Tape Measure by Emmanuel Chouinard

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Love it. on tape measure

I love that this tape measure doesn't rust in the rain like my old Stanley did. The numbers are easy to read except for the 1/16 inch mark. I prefer the gray background of the tape as the matte finish doesn't reflect or dazzle you on a bright sunny day. I love that it's marked on the bottom of the tape. I think I've used this option twice in one year so it's really not a game changer. It's just nice to know it's there when it really makes it easier. New, this is the smoothest band I've ever felt. So why only 4 stars? The last 12 inches of tape wears out a little quicker than expected, is still legible, but when hooked to a piece of wood and about 4 feet away, the hook lifts and disengages from the edge of the board. The last 12 inches is the only part that doesn't run as smooth as new as the belt itself is a bit rough. When it was new it wasn't, the hook was perfect and moved as you would expect. He's just exhausted. It lasted long enough and I liked it so much I ordered a new replacement for such a price!
