I looked at some other reviews and understood where they came from. Therefore the charging coil/panel is not large enough to charge Samsung Fold phones as on the side of the phone if you orient it correctly the side with the volume and power buttons should be facing down and therefore not accessible. However, I've never had a phone battery that low when I really need to use the charging cradle, so I always mount it with the buttons facing up. This holder fits almost all cell phone sizes. When fully open to accommodate phones, the arms extend over half an inch on either side of the fold, allowing it to accommodate even larger phones. When you turn it on for the first time, it will open automatically. I still haven't figured out where the sensors are to detect the presence of an auto-close phone, but it seems to work more often with my Fold3 than my Flip3. Luckily, there's a button under the lower chin that can be pressed to manually open and close the arms. I used a vent mount and it fits my Lexus RX perfectly. What I really like is the attached bottom extension that allows the mount to fit better and more stably in the vent. Didn't try to test it, but it's held up my Fold3 well for the past five days with no hiccups or instability. So in general. Even with one downside (it charges well on my Flip3 and iPhone), it's a good mount, especially for larger phones, and especially more convenient and useful for those who like to have their phones in landscape mode.
