Update: After previous review, the company reached out and offered a refund; saying they would send the info to the manufacturer to see if it can be fixed for future orders. Update to 4 stars for exceptional customer service. Hope they are able to address the issues for this potentially awesome product.1st review prior to update; First set of two different brands. I love the concept but the execution is lacking because they literally jam and will NOT operate daily. It then requires taking the shaker apart or pounding it on wood until the jammed spices can be jarred loose enough to allow it to function again. Continues to jam more frequently with each day. One issue with this style which worked a tad longer than the other design brand is that the battery compartment is not isolated from the spices and thus the spices eventually (within a couple of days) surround and become jammed within the battery clips and open compartment. This particular design had jammed and became so hot to the touch that I had to disassemble it and found that it had melting the battery wiring and damaged the batteries. I fear that could have been highly dangerous had I not noticed that they were getting more and more hot and left them sit until they either burned a family member or damaged the countertop or worse. We were highly disappointed and I suppose will consider searching for the set that can handle course Himalayan Sea salt and whole pepper corns without jamming.
