Review on TrustFire Handlebar Bycycle Computer Compatible by Travis Flores

Looks good good for electronics and gadgets

I chose this mount from many options mainly because of the features, price and material. It offers a combo mount at a fraction of the cost compared to the K-Edge and appears to be made out of aluminum. The alternative mount was either too expensive or made out of plastic (too flimsy to hold an expensive bike computer). The packaging looks great, my expectations were definitely exceeded. Almost all of the mount is aluminum except for the Garmin mount itself. The mount also appears to be compatible with Bryton devices, replacing the pre-installed Garmin mount. One of the main downsides I encountered was the action camera style mount, which was one of the first features I looked for. The part was aluminum and was too stiff to create a friction clamp fit with my action camera. When tightening the screw to hold the camera down, the supplied Allen key flew out. There is concern that the clamping force will fatigue the aluminum and eventually break it, or the bolt will snap off entirely due to the torque required. The two modifications I immediately made were blue Loctite on all fasteners and flipping the entire fastener to install more body kits. Garmin fixed mount and action cam mount can be swapped and flipped. The only modification required to do this is to file the action camera mount to fit the recessed hole left by the locking mount. The outer diameter of the action cam mount can be 1mm larger, so it can fit perfectly on both sides with some effort. Another added benefit of flipping the mount is that the laser etched logo is hidden on the underside.
