No instructions not so sure
No instructions in box. I figured it out, but it would be nice for anchoring purposes. I have wide crossbars. They are about 4 inches tall and curve outward. The screws that attach the item to the crossbars are barely enough to secure the bolt. Maybe 2mm. Therefore, the supplied handles are not suitable. I put my kayak on it, it doesn't sit flush, but with the help of my own ratchet straps (which are much more secure than the ones supplied) it seemed secure.
