I bought an Oneida strainer that looks almost exactly like this cookery. Huge difference! Although this one cost me $6 more, it's really worth every penny. The mesh is significantly stronger and less flexible than the Oneida strainer, the retractable handles are also stronger and thicker. All around is a winner in the long run. Highly recommended. Update: I've been using this beast for over 2 years and it looks like it's from the showroom. I use it extensively for coffee roasting (I'm a home roaster) and it doubles as a cooling tray. So once or twice a week, 427 degrees Fahrenheit coffee is poured into this thing. There isn't a drop of discoloration on the metal and the grips have never twitched. I really love this sieve.
