I usually service my cars with oil every 5000 miles and use Wix or CarQuest filters since the Fram filter with due to a bad oil filter thread has failed. Wix makes CarQuest filters. The last three digits of the filter number are the same when comparing Wix to Carquest. I've owned half a dozen different cars over the past 25 years and the quality of Wix filters has always been the same. Also, they are easy to find at most auto parts stores. From Mazda to Honda to Toyota, my experience with Japanese engines protected by Wix filters has been flawless so far.
