Review on Aquaboon Sediment Cartridge: 🌊 Universal Filtration for Optimal Efficiency by Jessie Ritchie

Revainrating 4 out of 5

What to expect for $10-15

Ordered 3 pcs 2 of 3 units had issues with brass inserts on both inlet and outlet. I ended up having to use liquid teflon to stop the leaks. I have used both nylon and brass fittings and have not sealed either of them with conventional Teflon tape. I even tried dark gray very thick teflon tape and that didn't work either. I like the simple design of the filter housing. Another problem with one of the blocks was that water was constantly leaking from one of the safety caps. Upon further inspection I found a tiny pinhole where a small plug was screwed onto the exhaust port. I fixed it by tapping the raised bracket with a screw and threadlocker. After about the 5th connection, all in different ways, no more sealant came out. I've had it up and running for about 3 weeks now and haven't noticed any leaks. I changed the filter and used a screw top safety valve and had no problems. No leaks after reinstallation. The fasteners are made of plastic, so you will have to move around a little when maintaining them. Will be updated in the future if problems arise. I think if they remove the brass and just tap the plastic it would be better and maybe get 5 stars. From experience with other high-end devices, threaded plastic heads tend to seal much better. Also: I would buy 2 dual units if they were available at the time and use 4 filters. For $25 each, you can't beat it.
