I first ordered a size 42 which according to Amazon was a size 11. I wear size 11 in Adidas and Nike. My foot is on the narrow side. The 42s were very tight so I returned them and got a 43.5. They fit how I think they should fit an 11 but are still snug for winter boots. If you want to wear thicker socks, you need to choose a larger size. My feet aren't cold anymore, but they could be warmer if I had enough room to wear thicker socks that aren't as tight. Otherwise I am very happy with them. My feet stay dry and much warmer. However, if I order again, I will get at least a size 44.
