My father-in-law (abandoned him) was dying to burn the bamboo I was trying to remove from my back pad. Had he been able to do that, he probably would have lit a real fire there. Probably runaway fire, although I'd agree with him if there's a doubt and assume he would have kept it under control. Regardless, it bothered my family (wife and I) that we really didn't want him playing with fire there and repeatedly reminded him that we have fire restrictions that prevent us from having open fires most of the time. spring/summer and autumn. He died before I was offered the item, so he never got a chance to play with it, but if I had him around I imagine he'd have hekkuwa time to set Bamboo on fire and give him a fiery one bring about death. I destroyed most of the bamboo with a lot of manual work. Pruning shears, a small shredder/shredder and lots of manual effort to remove debris on repeated trips, plus a battery powered saber saw and the time spent on my knees cleared most of the material, although the root system remains along with the stumps I just sawed off , Earth. Unfortunately the root system has remained and continues to attempt to sprout new bamboo growth - growth I am happy to stop. The flames are burning, the weeds are gone. Repeat as needed. At some point Bamboo will die out for me, at least I hope so. But until that happens, using this tool to remove the deposits is generally satisfactory.
