Review on 🐠 5-in-1 Fish Tank Cleaning Tools Set for Aquarium - Includes Fish Net, Gravel Rake, Algae Scraper, Fork, Sponge Brush, and Glass Cleaner Kit by Diane Ferreira

Not very helpful.: Algae scraper

I have been maintaining a 46 gallon front bow aquarium for over a decade and jumped at the opportunity to try this cleaning kit because I thought it would make my job a little easier. Spoilers: it isn't. The scraper was the biggest disappointment. It almost did not remove algae, at the same time it is incredibly sharp and dangerous. My fish are very curious little guys and I didn't feel comfortable keeping this thing in the tank with them. Another thing I was looking forward to was the sponge. Unfortunately I can't use a good enough lever with a long pole to clean as well as I would like. So I just use a fishing sponge and my hand. The plant fork was also disappointing. It doesn't fit in as tight spaces as I had hoped and can't grab anything well. Only works with some of my plants and decorations. The network is fine. It's soft and small. I have a combat hunting net on a telescopic rod which I like better. My favorite tool was the rake, so I'll probably just leave it attached to the pole. The rake was excellent at turning and sifting through gravel. Overall, I just don't think this set is as useful as it sounds. I suppose if you don't have any tools at all and an efficient tank cleaning system this might get you started...but it doesn't work really well. I would turn that down in the future if I had the choice.

Pros
  • Faster and easier nozzle change through direct insertion.
Cons
  • Some small things
