The tool straps I've worn over the years have had separate pockets for a cordless drill, tape measure, small hand tools and a metal hammer loop. It took me a long time to decide that this tool belt is of limited use and can never replace my old one. A few of my projects lately have required a hammer so I can easily do without a hammer loop but a cordless drill. While my cordless drill fits a little in a large pocket, it doesn't fit snugly and the trigger pulls almost every time I insert it. I could probably trim the leather to keep it from pulling the trigger, but that would have further damaged the drill pouch. I found it best to put the tape measure in a large pocket and that left room for a few small hand tools like a screwdriver, pliers etc. The strap is soft and comfortable but the buckle type seemed quite difficult to pull up and I was he found himself playing around with it quite often. When the buckle is tight, it is difficult to loosen.
