Review on Advanced 750 Internal Aquarium Filter by Hope Tribolet

I bought this as an extra filter for my aquarium. When I received the device I decided to cut the included sponge filler in half. By installing half the sponge filler I was able to create a space suitable for adding a phosphate/silicate remover, purigen or charcoal. In this configuration, the sponge acts as a pre-filter for the bag media. I gave 5 stars because it was exactly what I expected and I was able to modify it for my specific needs. A few notes. The output direction can be rotated around the vertical axis. The device is silent when fully submerged in water. The venturi is capped and the included hose is 10 to 12 inches long. It was easy to take apart and put back together. The sponge is easy to cut with sharp scissors. Time will tell about the lifespan. I will most likely buy it again if this one breaks for me (assuming the price doesn't go up). Works great for me and my specific needs. YMMV
