I've been looking for this for many years but I've only found very expensive options that made me avoid the iGrill2. and continued to use the iDevices iGrill which I only use for smoking. The main problem with these probes is not the water. This is a gas grill that gets too hot. I lost 2 probes this way while cooking a large tomahawk ribeye. but they did their job, ironically they stopped working once they cooled down. But now it's old story, I got them and they're really good. I've tried smoking short ribs (St.Louis) and chicken out of a beer can, and even used an ambient temperature gauge in my very hot toaster when I was making pizza (500 F). ) and it helped me find warm, cool, and hot spots inside. The sensors work perfectly, regardless of whether the original iGrill or iGrill2 is used. I have read that there are other compatible devices, I would recommend researching that compatibility before purchasing.
