Review on 🔧 GEARWRENCH 13 Pc. 1/2-Inch Drive 6 Point Standard Metric Socket Set - 80702 by Jeff Billingsley

For the extra money buying these sockets I didn't expect to see rust on 3 sockets as soon as they arrived. The rest of the chrome in the bezels looks very thin and matte. Soon they can start to rust. They aren't that different from my 15-piece metric 12-point Stanley sockets, which I paid $17.84 for. Stanley has the same features as Gearwrench. It's too hassle to return so I keep it to myself but I buy a lot of gearwrench tools and it's very disappointing to say the least. Update: I finally decided to return the first set and the new second set just arrived. and 2 frames have rust (brown discoloration) in the frame. The remaining sockets are matt chrome-plated on the inside. Rust on them is probably not far behind. Compared to other 1/2" Taiwan metric socket sets you can get for about 1/3 or 1/2 the price, definitely not worth the premium. Shame on you Gearwrench Taiwan, get down to business. Update 2: Gearwrench just contacted me. on the phone and offered to send me a free replacement and told me to keep another set as well. Well that's great customer service and that gets 5 stars.
