Since this small set was very cheap, I didn't know what to expect in terms of quality. I am happy to report that they have withstood a lot of handling and cleaning. I use them in the hospital when I work with young patients to teach them different jewelry techniques. They were just the right size for her still growing hands. I prefer to use regular pliers (when I don't need special pliers) to work with jewelry mainly because they are cheaper and also because they are not flimsy. I love these tongs and will definitely buy them again. I also like that they came with a case. That was really crucial.
