🔧 Titan 18405 5-Piece Precision Plier Kit Including Protective Case Review

I bought this precision pliers set because I needed it for my electrical engineering class. The pliers did everything I asked them to do and they come in a very handy compact case. I definitely recommend them.

Absolute nonsense. The cut surfaces are not flat, opening/closing is very harsh, and the jaws of the pliers broke when cutting a strand of standard 15a-14ga household wire. These are inferior instruments even by cheap standards.

If you need a small set of pliers for fine, detail-oriented work, this is a good set. I use it for electrical work, cutting small diameter wires. It comes with an organizer where you can centralize all 5 pliers. It has a small size that you can store in a drawer.

These pliers are good quality for the price. I've only used them for light electronics and wire, but they feel solid and the grips don't slip. Each has two metal protrusions that return the handles to their original position. The case they come in is weird so I don't even use it.

Does what it's supposed to. The kit includes a small sheet stating that the tool contains lead, so be sure to wash your hands after use. Having stopped buying tools for a long time, I'm not sure if the lead content in these tools is normal (new regulations require lead marking) or if this tool is the only one with a high lead content.

Two different length tips, two wire cutters and a pair of pliers, this set feels good in the hand, is well made and comes with a zipped pouch making it easy to keep track of. The distributor springs are a bit too strong in my opinion hence only 4 stars out of 5 but they do the job and I don't regret the purchase. These are good tools for jobs that require a smaller tool size for the job.

I use them in the hospital when I work with young patients to teach them different jewelry techniques. They were just the right size for her still growing hands.
