Great Filament, Not Without Flaws

This is a great filament depending on what you're using it for. To test all my new filaments I use Ding:1023717 to find basic settings like temperature and print speed. What I've found, which isn't apparent in other reviewers' photos, is that the model with thin vertical walls that have a lot of indentations doesn't seem to show the filament sheen effect. The top and bottom of my three prints have a strong glossy effect, but the walls are almost entirely black. I printed another model that does not have thin walls or many indentations and reproduced what was shown in other photos. Also, this filament is very stiff compared to some other PLA brands I've printed with (Hatchbox, Zyltech, Prusa, and Atomic), which works well for the applications I intend to use it for. printed this filament at 195 feet and found almost no filament. At higher temperatures, the melting spangles did not stretch very well each time contraction occurred. The lower temperature is different than what I usually print at, but it is necessary for this filament. My suggestion is to print out a small pullback test like this: 909901 and tweak the temperature, pullback, and speed (mostly movement speed) settings until your results improve. Finally, the item name which includes "marble color" is a bit misleading. However, the name on the label is just "Shining Black" and makes no mention of marble anywhere. This is a very good filament at a lower price than similar products like Fillamentum's Vertigo Gray and when combined with the right slicer settings produces exceptional looking prints. : Default settings except 195' print temperature.
