This is my first Miele vacuum cleaner. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews on here before buying, so I was concerned that the carpet head might be uncomfortably noisy or just not working. When I first turned it on there was an issue with the carpet head not sticking, but I quickly discovered that this was due to it trying to eat the carpet in my kitchen. Pressing the button on the head to adjust the carpet pile setting and changing it to 2 fixed the issue for me, although it still tries to pick up the carpet around the edges. This is a very powerful vacuum cleaner, I have used it 3 times so far to vacuum the whole house and am very happy with my purchase. The dust brush attachment, as others have mentioned, is a bit small, but so far I'm getting by with it. And the regular floor brush is really great, it's thin enough that I can finally get under most of my furniture and it swivels in many directions, I can get into areas of the floor that were previously difficult to vacuum. Also, unlike other vacuums I've had, this one doesn't leave a "halo" of dust under furniture it doesn't fit under. And in terms of carpet nozzle noise, while not as quiet as the rest of the vacuum, it's quieter than other Electrolux and Dyson electric carpet nozzles I've used in the past.
