They work, just not always. Everything except the spring runs smoothly, the pair of metal barrels seems to have some friction when squeezed, and not easy to fall off. So you have to push the truck down if you want the shock to go down. If there was a way to smooth or sand the inside of the top and bottom it would work much better. Oil or fat might help.
