Bought these for Eclipse as I couldn't buy sunglasses locally as they were sold out near the full zone. Also, I need a welding hood anyway. Electronically adjustable from shade 9 to shade 13. Sun observation from shade 12 possible. The auto-dimming response time matches the best of them, and it has a grind mode. Fits perfectly in my welding cart. Fits well after adjustment and comes with protective lenses. the first photo of the midday sun without clouds at full brightness through the camera of my Moto Z Force. The second is processed with Snapseed to increase contrast, sharpen edges and achieve an almost natural color with a green tint. Use low ISO settings with very fast shutter speeds. I have no doubt they will do a great job of welding anything I will ever need.
