When I opened the door, my GE microwave fan came on. My wife got a little scared and thought her hand would be cooked while the door was open. I explain to her that's not the case, but it's annoying. I order this product without knowing that there are different types. One normally open and one normally closed. I was happy because I needed both in my microwave. The top one is normally open (was good) and the bottom door clip has two, one open and one closed. The middle one broke but I replaced both. I watch youtube videos on how to do it and it was very easy. Unplug the microwave, unscrew the two screws on the top, slide the top to the left and pull, unscrew another screw on the top of the control model and remove the small screen. To remove the block that houses the switches you may need a star tip to remove the small screws from the front of the microwave with the door open.
