Let me start by saying I have applied window films before although they were inside but they are horrible to apply, it's like trying to apply sticky film and then trying to cut them. Your window, and half the time it rips through the window if you try to cut it open. Now I followed the instructions, scrubbed the window pain and cleaned up everything I could. When I finally got it I was very pleased, I really felt it reduced the incoming heat. That being said, I installed the first batch in early March, the second batch 4 weeks later, and the third batch about 2 weeks ago. Window. And then I realized that the first batch lost all of its reflectivity within 4 months and is now just a clear film with no mirror effect, no tint and obviously no heat reflection. And the second batch is more than 1/2 way to clear. Now I wouldn't mind the insane amount of work if they went ahead, I figured we'd last three or four years as it was designed for exactly that purpose, to be out there. I'm so pissed because beyond the purchase price it was a lot of work! Don't waste your money and energy and buy this product! In the 1st shot you can see the inner window foil directly through the outer "reflective" foil, which is hit by the blazing sun. The last image shows the final window created with the mirror effect.
