I have made two types of pasta with this so far, and they both turned out well enough, but not without challenges. The more I use this, the less the clamp feature stays tight enough. My husband ended up having to hold it in place as it just wouldn't stay tight enough. I tried it clamped to my counter, then my table, and finally my breakfast counter. I'm possibly going to have to bolt it to a small table permanently if I want it to stay still while I make my pasta.Cleaning is another issue as it has a lot of parts that come into contact with the food, that can't be reached easily to clean, but that is true for most pasta makers.
