I've been using Bal for 18 years
I've used Bal Deluxe as pads, not stabilizers, and have had no problem except once, when I moved the trailer with the trailer engaged. I damaged one of these but continued to use it with no problems. For safety reasons I ended up replacing it with an X-Chock (Deluxe model discontinued) which seems more durable to me. I was surprised by Bal's claim that he doesn't use it as a parking brake, which I always did. It's likely a grip issue if someone has parked on a steep slope. I can never park on a steep slope as my trailer is low on the ground and could fall over. You work for me and I'm happy.
