This is actually a very good product if used properly. Here are some tips to save time. There is a stopper at the top of the canister. Make sure the plug is closed before use. I have not sucked oil into the canister for a long time after pumping it several times. I removed the top to make sure the o-ring (was). Collected, and the oil still sucks badly. After another 5 minutes it dawned on me. Check plug. Bingo! It worked. Another trick. When pumping oil out of a car, it helps to run the car a little to warm up the oil. When I first inserted the tube into the dipstick tube, it was a little difficult to "feel" where the bottom of the oil pan was. When draining the oil, I initially got a slow flow of oil. At some point I started to "fiddle" with the tube and finally pulled it out so far that it suddenly straightened out. "Wow, here comes the oil. One last tip - buy your oil in 5 liter containers - firstly it is a lot cheaper (especially if you go the synthetic route) than individual bottles per liter. My car takes about 5 liters and the bottle is the perfect container to store old oil. Simply press the switch on the vacuum cleaner, start pumping and dispose of the oil "simply" and without any problems in a practical container. User errors aside, the product is fantastic, well designed and capable of both fetching and downloading content. worth the twenty bucks you would pay for a low end Mittyvacs. The fact that the pump components are outside the canister is another benefit (extra life).
