You just need to use the key to unlock!

Redesigned OEM gas cap with lockable green cap with Diesel logo. Easy to install and use. Unscrew the retaining cable from the filling niche. Unscrew the old filler cap and screw in the new one until it clicks into place. Insert the key into the lock and turn it counterclockwise 1/4 turn. The cap can now be removed. A very simple operation.
