Review on Tenzi Dice Party Game Colored by Jeff Islam

ORIGINAL REVIEW: First off, this is a great dice set. The packaging is beautiful, the dice are beautifully colored, and the gameplay is simple and fun. The problem with this set is that it smells like the bones have been soaked in gasoline or kerosene. I saw another review here that mentioned the same issue. When I received the set I thought everything was fine as I didn't smell anything. But after playing for a while, I put the bones to my nose and they stank of gasoline. Everyone noticed this and now refuse to use the bones. I have a few games and I've never encountered a similar problem. So, just for testing, we played through and reviewed over 20 dice games. None of the cubes had any odor. So I'm wondering what kind of dyes or chemicals are used to make these cubes. I will be writing to the company today at the email addresses on their website and see if they can resolve this issue and I will update this review and amend the review if necessary. UPDATE (same day as review): Customer support is clearly very important at Tenzi. I wrote to them and within minutes received an explanation of the problem, a possible solution and a suggestion for a replacement. I'll try your suggestion (leave the bones out of the case for a few days) and see how it works. After that there will be an update. UPDATE (3/12/15): Now 5 stars. Tansy replaced my bones for free. Steve@Tenzi really went above and beyond to help. They also said they would fix the problem I originally had. Like I said, this is a great dice set. The packaging is beautiful, the dice are beautifully colored, and the gameplay is simple and fun. And if you have any problems just contact Tenzi and they will fix it.
