Review on Tripp Lite Computer IEC 320 C13 P007 010 by Kevin Lawson

Amperage, durability and length are all important, so do your research! Highly recommended.

Not all cables are created equal and that definitely applies to power cords. that you don't just buy the cheapest cable you can find and assume they're all the same quality and offer the same features, if I may call it that. get this power. There are three general wire gauges (thickness): 14 ga wire that supports up to 15 amps, 16 ga wire that supports up to 10 amps, 18 ga wire that supports up to 5 amps. You can think of current as the rate of water flow in a pipe. If a pipe can support a "flow rate" of 15A, it can certainly support 10A or anything under 15 (to some extent, of course). So it's perfectly fine to have a cable that supports more AMP than the device requires. Now you might be wondering which cable do I need. It depends on what you connect it to. For example, the EVGA power supply I'm using shows the AC input: 100-240VAC, 10A, 60/50Hz. Since the cable I bought was a 10ft 18GA version that supports 15A, I can see this Safe to use cable with my power supply. For a list price of $13.29 at the time, this was very reasonable. I highly recommend this cord.
