This is a regular shampoo with a strong lavender scent. Thankfully, this smell dissipates quickly after rinsing, but when lathered, the smell becomes almost overpowering, like a cheap perfume. The shampoo foams and rinses well and leaves hair soft, but I just can't get over the smell. It's the same with the air conditioning. I haven't noticed any real lightening of my hair color after a week of using the product, but it may work better on fully colored hair than on highlights. The cost is not very good. I won't be using them again once I'm done with my current bottles.
