This tool will not work with SBC cylinder heads.
This tool will likely fit a motorcycle head or any other smaller engine but is not suitable for automotive applications with heavy duty springs. The picture shows this tool joke compared to a tool that actually works with SBC heads. I wouldn't even try to use this tool on small 4 cylinder car engines, let alone something with a stiff spring.
