Review on Kai 7250 10-Inch Pro Shears by Becky Guyer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Smooth; smooth. Continuous. The best scissors ever.

I bought these for general use despite having a lot of sail building experience. I usually had Scotch, Fiskars, Stanley and lots of $8 general use scissors. I had professional sewing scissors from Gingher, Wiss and Fiskars. These scissors are better than any other and cost ½ to ¼ the price of professional scissors. The metal used in their manufacture is excellent. Much better than the high carbon chrome material they use in Ginghers, the cheap stainless steel they use in others. These are high-carbon stainless steels that are martensitic and more prone to rusting (so take care of them!), but the cutting edge is sharp and sure to stay that way for a long time. The hands and grip holes just fit perfectly and the soft plastic is very comfortable. "The plastic is just a lining in the finger holes, the metal of the blades runs around the entire perimeter of the finger hole! The hinge is well thought out and works great. You know how much friction and cheap scissors you feel when you close them. ", how do the blades rub against each other? These scissors don't feel a thing. And they cut paper, cardboard, plastic, etc. as smoothly and precisely as any scissors, from the hinge to the tips. I am going to use these scissors daily for each one every task imaginable but i will be careful not to overuse them!if i ever buy another pair of scissors i will take the micro serrated kai scissors for the tougher work and in the kitchen.do when when - or they will cut it all for me .
