I was a little worried about it being as flat as advertised, but when I took it to work and tested it on our Starrett granite it was dead . even! I couldn't get a 0.001 dipstick all the way under! The light from the very bright LED flashlight did not penetrate the base and the stone. It worked great customizing my jointer and recommending it for its quality and value!
