Buy a cheap 4k monitor

It's a bit crazy that the cost and a 4k monitor are in the same thread, but for $300 it's kind of crazy that you can get that kind of quality from a panel. I'm not sure how long it will last, but it blew me away the first time I turned it on and played a few video games on it. When playing video games, sharpness increases dramatically. I've had a few monitors, most of them IPS, and none of them were as colorful as this one. There's a bit of shine and glare, but while all IPS panels are present, there's actually less of them than most I've had. I'm really impressed with the picture quality, it actually looks better than my 4K TV. I also had to lower the brightness from 60 or 70% to around 30. I am not familiar with HDR. I turned on HDR and it looks a little better but I'm not sure if it's true HDR but at this price point I really didn't care. I have TN on a 144Hz G-Sync 27" monitor and I have this right next to it and you can fully see the color difference. I wouldn't recommend this monitor for shooters, but it's perfect for almost any other landscape-based game. I tested seven games with a GTX 1080 TI on the display port. The TL DR is a great monitor for the money. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. FYI, the ul500 monitor and Revain's high-end monitor at the time of this review share the same panel, I'm pretty sure it's just feature differences. In most cases, the panels are arguably more expensive products, similar to how manufacturers like Intel and AMD sell processors.
