The 3-piece Jourmet Damascus knife set is a fine knife set made from VG10 Damascus steel. You get an 8" chef's knife, a 5" utility knife, and a 3.5" paring knife. They all have very nice pakkawood handles. Pakka wood is made from a veneer consisting of multiple plies of high quality hardwood pressed together. I have a Joumet knife set and I really like it. They are equally sharp from the factory and also hold the cutting edge well. Overall I'm happy with how well balanced they are in the hand and with their performance. This will be a good gift; maybe a housewarming present.
