I have an irregular sofa - it has an l-shape chaise on one end, and an angle (not quite u shape) on the other end. No standard cover is going to work for this couch! I bought 2 of these covers initially, XL size, and they work great! I put one on the chaise side, and it covers the entire chaise, all the way to the floor on both front & back. I put the other cover on the rest and it covered all but the back side. So I bought a third cover for the back side, since we can't put our couch against the wall in this living room. Plus, I can use this 3rd cover to rotate and keep the seating covered while laundering one of the other 2 covers. The material is tough enough to withstand our dog even, but I do have to readjust after he's "circled & scratched out" his bed. He's has been sleeping on the couch rather than his bed ever since we bought these covers, so he must really like them too! The best part is the covers have a nice comfortable texture to them, but pet hair doesn't seem to stick to it, not like the couch itself. Very happy with this purchase so far!
