You get what you pay for. I was going to hook up my Garmin Nuvi and figured I could try and save a few bucks with a cheaper imitation. This product was a complete failure and made my Nuvi turn on and off. I used my multimeter to measure the voltage and found that it read less than 1 volt (not even remotely needed 5 volts). I sent it back and bought this Garmin power cord. The difference in quality was immediately noticeable. In this case, wires with a much larger cross section with a built-in fuse are used. The cheaper product had no fuse and was very thin wire. Connected a Garmin Nuvi to this adapter and as expected it works perfectly. Highly recommended.
