Review on Processor Intel Core i5-4590 Haswell LGA1150, 4 x 3300 MHz, OEM by Adam Wawrzyski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am delighted, the product is really worthy.

Hardware configuration: 1920x1080p, Intel Core i5-4670K, Zalman CNPS10X Performa, ASUS Z87-PRO, GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 770. A week after buying it, I decided to increase the multiplier to 42 (there was enough performance, but I really needed more) without increasing the voltage (they say someone took it up to 44 by upping one multiplier, but I didn't dare). Crysis 3 (all settings maxed out) runs smoothly at around 25-50 frames per second in the opening scene, decreases to 20 as you approach the dome, and then stabilizes at around 35-60 from there. The only (and probably most significant) issue is that whenever I pause the game to check the temperature, it immediately drops from fifty to thirty (I'm not kidding; it happens in under a second), which means that eighty percent of the time he will be on vacation. He's just as sluggish as I am; in some games I've played, it works at only thirty percent capacity. I should have mentioned that the frame rate in tanks is permanently locked at 60 frames per second. In RealTemp, the coldest core is 51 degrees and the hottest is 57. If you're going to buy, I strongly recommend the Zalman CNPS10X Performa as the top option in its pricing range. Invest in a fantastic computer; you won't be sorry. review extensively and comment on how he is better at chasing than 4770 and how cool he is running.

Pros
  • Very quick, doesn't overheat, performs admirably.
Cons
  • For a long time I tried to figure out how to increase the multiplier, but that's a matter for the motherboard or my computer rather than the processor.
