The first few 1.54" displays I bought were great. However, the next batch differed from the description and photos for two reasons. : 1. The plug has been changed from 2.54mm (0.1 inch) pitch to 2.0mm pitch connector. (This means that my PCBs, which I designed and made based on first order blocks, will not work.)2. More importantly, they added a voltage regulator and level shifter IC to the blue board so it could interface with 5V systems. But these components change the "deep sleep" current from less than 10 Β΅A to more than 150 Β΅A! It's a disaster when trying to maximize battery life. The beauty of e-paper (electronic ink) displays is that they draw almost no current when the display is static, and they've ruined that with the new version of this module.
