Description of ๐Ÿ“บ Waveshare 1.54 Inch E-Paper Display Panel Module - 200x200 Resolution, 3.3v E-Ink Electronic Screen with SPI Interface, Raspberry Pi//Nucleo Compatible, Supporting Partial Refresh

No backlight, keeps displaying last content for a long time even when power down. Ultra low power consumption, basically power is only required for refreshing. SPI interface, for connecting with controller boards like Raspberry Pi/ /Nucleo, etc. Onboard voltage translator, compatible with 3.3V/5V MCUs. Comes with development resources and manual (examples for Raspberry Pi/Jetson Nano/ /STM32)

Ordered 4, received a small number of different versions of the board

There are a few V1s that worked, some V2s and a few V1s that didn't worked work . maybe it was a different version of the board(?) As for the boards themselves, it would be nice if Waveshare could do the following: - each board should have 2 connectors so they can be connected in series - remove the DC pin. All data and configuration must go through MOSI - Close the BUSY contact. It has to go through MISO. Why can't it just be an old standard SPI and not SPI + some other random pins? It wouldโ€ฆ

Pros
  • SPI interface to connect to controller boards such as Raspberry Pi//Nucleo etc.
Cons
  • Was damaged

They were good, but less so now.

The first few 1.54" displays I bought were great. However, the next batch differed from the description and photos for two reasons. : 1. The plug has been changed from 2.54mm (0.1 inch) pitch to 2.0mm pitch connector. (This means that my PCBs, which I designed and made based on first order blocks, will not work.)2. More importantly, they added a voltage regulator and level shifter IC to the blue board so it could interface with 5V systems. But these components change the "deep sleep" currentโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Includes development resources and manual (Raspberry Pi/Jetson Nano/ /STM32 examples)
Cons
  • Vulgarity

FADING Electronics are good for computer components

ONE YEAR UPDATE. other anomalies (see photo). The device is located indoors away from windows, sun and excessive heat. I checked the power supply for undervoltage, everything is fine. I update every two minutes. Maybe the screen technology has a maximum update limit? In any case, if you plan on buying this and like me using it all the time, consider limiting the screen updates to about every ten minutes or so. PREVIOUS CHECK. from the ideal. First of all: the lack of a partial update. Thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Extremely low power consumption, basically only needs power to update
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
