This is not what I would call a thick case. You can see in the first picture in the description that there are creases showing how thin it really is. However, this is only a small fly in the ointment compared to the quality. We didn't have to use it until December, so we skipped the return window. The very first time it was installed it only took 10 minutes before it was all blown in the wind, I mean the straps attached to the wheel arch had snapped off and the cover was on top of the van exposing the windshield completely. What a waste of money.
