Review on MOOG 513277 Wheel Bearing Assembly by Jerome Pernell

PARTIAL LOSS IN LESS THAN 10 MONTHS/15 THOUSAND MILES

I can't believe it. I'm beginning to think that my Acadia is either just a "bearing eater" or the quality part no longer exists - or there simply isn't a bearing that can handle Michigan road traffic (worst of all). Passenger side, 2016. Timken bearings. Had to replace it less than a year later - thankfully Revain did a great job with warranty parts. When the driver's side started rattling in June 2017, I made sure to buy a Moog part with 3 years 36,000 km. Now here I replace THAT again. Unfortunately I can't find anyone with a better guarantee than this, so I'm forced to fit ANOTHER MOOG and hope it was just a fluke. I'm too good at changing the stupid bearings on this car. The only ironic benefit is that in the 10 months between replacements, the last part never had time to weld in place, so replacing the new part took less than 90 minutes. However, a PITA that shouldn't have happened at all. I never thought I would change wheel bearings on the same schedule as wiper blades. I shake my head in disgust. What happened to paying more and getting the best? Update 4/17 - There was absolutely no tail noise for two weeks. Now I hear the rumble again - still faint, but no longer faint and definitely wheel bearing noise. That made me look around again. On another site (Rhymes-with-lock Auto) I just noticed that the genuine Delco part (FW331) now has a LIFETIME WARRANTY if purchased after 04/01/18. If I have to make another bearing I know what the part will be and I hope that the lifetime guarantee at least implies that I won't have to change it again next year!
