Prior to installation, my Chevy 1500 5.3 with 4 speed automatic saw transmission temps in excess of 210 F than our 7000 lb 5. Wheel pulled at 45 mph in an ambient temperature of 90 F. The engine was also hot. I now tow a trailer at 65 mph in a 100°F ambient and never go above 190°F on the transmission. On cooler days (30°C and below) the transmission temperature stays in the 160-180°C range. Note: I also recommend buying oil with a thermostatic control valve. On cold days, when the temperature is 45 and below, if not towed, the transmission oil will become supercooled, sometimes not exceeding 120F. On colder days, when it's freezing outside, transmission only gets as low as 103F. Overall great product.
