The great thing about this product is that it has an elastic band that you can wrap around your chair and attach to almost anything you want to sit on with the integrated hook. I've used it on the benches at our dock/pier, I've used it on the outdoor plastic chairs we use around the fire and I've taken it to outdoor events because it's easy to transport. I would not consider this pillow a pain reliever. But it certainly offers a more comfortable surface for sitting on fire chairs, in a dock, or outdoors for long periods of time. They are also easy to clean. Plan to order more for the extra seats around the fire.
