Too many useless functions for a good, high-quality hard cheese slice. It was a father's day gift, the kids chose it based on the magnet and the crockery but didn't look at the reviews. The board, magnetic block and utensils are fine, but the cutting mechanism doesn't go well with the board. You'll have to work to match the wire to the slot on the board. If you stretch the wire to act as a cap when slicing through the cheese, the handle will bend and not fit the slot. If you loosen it to fit the slot, it won't be tight enough to properly slice the cheese. Even if you get it where it works well, you still need to align it with the board's slot. Too many games. And then, of course, over time it weakens and / or the wire breaks. Yes it came with a spare wire but oh my god! it was only used a few times. Now it's just a cheese board, a pen and wires in the trash and I'm looking for a good quality wire cutter. I hate that my wife threw the 25 year old away because one of the rubber feet came off. It doesn't even have legs or a piece of cheese.
