The product works well, after reading some reviews I had concerns but I received instructions with a pump and two types of fittings. BTW the UK threads that some users have complained about are available from hydraulic shops, there are a few near me, but the folks at Custom Hydraulic were first class in putting together what I needed. The seller states that it can be used in a vertical mounting position. no I have a vertical and it works fine. The wiring is very simple: red or positive to the motor relay and black or ground to the motor. The nuts have actually been left out to make this clearer. The only downside right now is that there is no check valve in the down position and in my application I have to hold both ends of the cylinder. Simple fix, although a $65 2-way solenoid connected to an open wire with the pump running will solve the problem. It would be nice to add flow control, but that doesn't happen at this price point. If required, you can add an external flow controller. Overall functional and economical to convert, much cheaper and faster than electric drive.
