You can remove the battery for applications where you want it corded 24/7

Leaving a lithium battery on the charger constantly can be dangerous and start a fire. if you just want it corded, it is possible. It will reduce the waterproofing because you're breaking the factory seal. but it will still be somewhat sealed by a rubber gasket. You probably shouldn't put in water after this modification. Making this modification will most likely void any type of warranty or return policy.(ATTENTION) Please don't attempt this if your not confident in you ability's with power tools and electronics. This is a very simple modification but it can still be dangerous. You need a Philips screwdriver #1 & #2 and a Dremel type tool with a cutting disc.-You first remove the 6 Philips #2 screws on the bottom.-make sure it is powered off.-Carefully cut along the glued seam with the Dremel. (WARNING) the battery is just behind this seam, if you cut too deep it will hit the battery. Lithium batteries are very volatile and can catch on fire or explode if damaged.-Once the transparent dome is off of the electronics remove the two Philips #1 screws holding down the circuit board.-There are two adjacent plugs with red and black wires on the bottom of the circuit board. Remove the plug going to the battery and replace it with the plug right next to it witch goes to the charger.-Replace the two Phillips #1 screws to secure the circuit board-You can discard the cut off plastic dome or try to glue it back.-Put the electronics assembly back into the sphere and replace the 6 Phillips #2 screws. Now your light ball will only operate off of corded power and should be safer to leave plugged in 24/7.EDIT:If done correctly this works great, mine has been outside in rain and snow, on 24/7 for about a year and it still works
